Capital account statements

Capital account statement PDF to Excel and CSV

Pull every figure from a partner capital account statement, from commitment and contributions to fees, carried interest and the ending capital balance, with the capital roll-forward checked against the lines it is built from.

What you get back

  • Fund, general partner, investor name, account number, statement date and reporting currency
  • Total commitment, contributed to date and unfunded commitment
  • Beginning balance, contributions, distributions by type, allocated income and expense, management fees and carried interest
  • Realised and unrealised gain or loss, and the ending capital balance or NAV

What is checked before you export

  • Beginning balance + contributions − distributions + income + gains − fees − carried interest = ending balance
  • Ending capital ties to NAV where both are printed
  • Unfunded commitment equals commitment minus contributions to date
  • Period and inception-to-date columns are kept separate
  • No line repeated or dropped where the statement runs across a page break

Checks are written in plain language in an editable prompt, so you can add your own.

Built for

Family offices, fund-of-funds and allocators reconciling statements from many GPs; fund administrators and finance teams preparing quarterly investor reporting; and emerging managers who need their numbers in a spreadsheet without an enterprise platform.

Formats

Upload PDF, PNG, JPG and TIFF up to 20 MB. Export CSV, Excel (.xlsx) and JSON, or use the REST API and signed webhooks.

Questions

Every GP formats their statement differently. Does that matter?

No. What to extract and what to check are written in plain language in an editable prompt, so a layout the tool has not seen is a prompt change, not a support ticket.

The PCAP and the K-1 show different capital figures. Which do you take?

Whatever the statement prints. A PCAP may report on a GAAP basis while the K-1 uses tax basis, so the two can differ; if both figures appear, they are kept as separate fields rather than reconciled into one.

Can I process a whole portfolio of statements at once?

Upload one statement at a time in the app, or send them through the REST API to process a batch and receive each result as structured JSON. Each file can be up to 10 pages, so split longer fund financial statements into parts.
