Bank statements

Bank statement PDF to CSV and Excel

Upload a statement from any bank, in any country. aiXtractor returns every transaction with its date, description, debit, credit and running balance, then reconciles the balances before you import anything.

What you get back

  • Bank name, account holder and masked account number
  • Routing number, sort code, BSB, transit or IFSC code
  • Statement period, currency, opening and closing balance
  • Every transaction: date, value date, description, reference, debit, credit, running balance

What is checked before you export

  • Opening balance + credits − debits = closing balance
  • Running balance re-computed on every row
  • Printed debit and credit totals match the columns
  • Every transaction date falls inside the statement period
  • No rows repeated or dropped at page breaks

Checks are written in plain language in an editable prompt, so you can add your own.

Built for

Formats

Upload PDF, PNG, JPG and TIFF up to 20 MB. Export CSV, Excel (.xlsx) and JSON, or use the REST API and signed webhooks.

Questions

Which banks are supported?

Any bank. aiXtractor reads the page layout instead of relying on a template per bank, so statements from small banks and credit unions work the same way as statements from large ones.

Can it read scanned or photographed statements?

Yes. Upload PDF, PNG, JPG and TIFF. Scans and phone photos are read by the same vision model as digital PDFs.

How do I know the numbers are right?

After extraction a second pass recomputes the running balance on every row and reconciles opening and closing balances. Any row that breaks the chain is flagged, with a link that shows the exact spot on the page.

Can I import the result into QuickBooks or Xero?

Yes, through their CSV upload. Export the transactions as CSV, keep the date, description and amount columns, and upload. Our guides walk through both.
